Prayer and Meditation

"If the only prayer you ever say today is thank you, it will be enough."

Meister Eckhart

Prayer is a form of

thanksgiving

Prayer changes things

“Prayer is less about changing the world

than it is about changing ourselves.”

—David J. Wolpe

"Prayer is the song of the heart.”

—Kahlil Gibran

Prayer is from the heart

not the head

Prayer and Meditation

are essential to recovery from drugs and alcohol

Prayer and Meditation are two parts of the same whole.

Meditation clears and focuses the mind and sets the stage for prayer.

Prayer addresses the issues I face today and asks for help in dealing with them.

Together, they smooth out the rough edges of my day and bring joy and peace into my life.

It is only through prayer that I can change my character.

Prayer and Meditation are skills and they have a learning curve.

They must be done on a daily basis.

They are an essential part of my “Daily dose of spirituality.”
